A common misconception about wine country is that all there is to do is . . . drink wine. A natural thought, though not accurate. Almost every type of business, store, or even natural topography that enhances what one might refer to as “fine living” is nearby. Mutitudes of art galleries, shopping for just about anything you can imagine, restaurants of every cuisine up and down the valley and on the nearby Sonoma Plaza, theatre throughout two counties, music on the Napa River, hiking and biking trails, ballooning, golf, the ocean an hour away to the west, and San Francisco an hour south. And of course some of the best wine in the world. What other area offers such a diverse and impressive array of activities and opportunities?
